Core Characteristics and Application

Galvanized pipes are made by reacting the molten metal with the iron matrix to produce an alloy layer, so that the matrix and the coating are combined. Hot-dip galvanizing has the advantages of uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life.

The hot-dip galvanized steel pipe substrate undergoes complex physical and chemical reactions with the molten plating solution to form a corrosion-resistant zinc-iron alloy layer with a compact structure. The alloy layer is integrated with the pure zinc layer and the steel tube substrate. Therefore, it has strong corrosion resistance.

Galvanized pipe is mainly used in tap water engineering, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, urban construction.

For liquid transportation: water supply, drainage, sewage treatment projects, mud transportation, marine water transportation.

Galvanized Steel Pipe Manufacturing Process:

- Material Selection:The process begins with carefully selecting high-quality steel, typically low carbon steel, which is known for its strength and malleability.- Pipe Formation:The selected steel undergoes a series of processes, including cutting, bending, and shaping, to form pipes of desired dimensions. This step ensures that the pipes meet specific industry requirements and project specifications.- Surface Preparation:To prepare the pipe surface for galvanization, it goes through a rigorous cleaning process to remove any impurities, such as dirt, grease, and oxides. This ensures optimal adhesion of the zinc coating.- Galvanization:After the surface of the steel pipe is pretreated, it can be galvanized. There are two methods of galvanizing: hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing is to immerse the steel pipe in molten zinc, so that the zinc reacts with the surface of the steel pipe to form a layer of zinc. Electrogalvanizing is to immerse the steel pipe in an electrolyte solution containing zinc ions, and through the action of electric current, the zinc ions are reduced to a zinc layer on the surface of the steel pipe.- Cooling and Inspection:After galvanization, the pipes are carefully cooled and inspected for uniformity, adhesion, and thickness of the zinc coating. This step ensures the quality and durability of the finished product.
